This high-energy, feel-good class is where elementary-age kids come together to sing their hearts out, learn new songs, and build real musical skills—without even realizing how much they’re learning. From catchy favorites to fun new tunes, students develop rhythm, pitch, and listening skills that carry over to any instrument.

Even better? They’ll be part of a supportive, laughter-filled musical community where friendships grow and every voice matters.

Kids love the independence of this drop-off class, and parents love the “peek inside” moments—when you’re invited in at the end to hear what they’ve been working on. Throughout the year, students can also choose to participate in a few low-pressure, casual performances to show off their progress.

Big smiles, new friends, growing confidence—and lots of singing. What could be better?

What kids do in Singing Club

  • Group warm-ups every class — range, breath, pitch.
  • Low-pressure room built for shy singers and confident ones alike.
  • Two-part harmonies introduced when the group is ready.
  • Stage time at studio recitals twice a year.
  • Six or fewer kids per class.

Why group classes

Three reasons kids stick with the studio.

  • Collaboration builds better musicians.

Kids learn faster when they play with others. Listening, timing, and confidence grow on the bandstand.

  • Lower pressure, higher confidence.

Group classes take the spotlight off any one student. Mistakes are part of the music, not a performance review.

  • More fun means more learning.

When students love showing up, they practice without being asked. The hobby sticks.

Frequently asked

Questions parents ask about Singing Club.

Yes. That’s exactly who group class is for. New players learn faster and are motivated when they’re surrounded by other new players. The room takes the pressure off any one kid, and the teacher meets each student where they are.

Always. Every program offers a trial class. Drop in, see if the class feels right, then decide. No commitment until you’re sure.

Unlimited makeups. Sick day, sports tournament, family trip. All enrollments come with unlimited make-ups. No ‘use it or lose it.’

Not at all! Our classes for the littlest ones are full of activities that not only enhance child development but also ignite a love of music. It’s where lifelong musicians get their first nudge.

We offer year-round enrollment, so there’s no need to wait for a specific season to get started. Students naturally progress and level up throughout the year, and that’s all part of the process. We encourage families to begin whenever their child is ready—because the best time to start is now.

We know that schedules change, as do kids! We offer a variety of class types and times. We can work with you to find the right fit for your schedule. And if nothing works? You may withdraw with 30 days notice.

Less than you think. We’d rather a kid practice 10 happy minutes a day than 30 forced. The class structure does most of the heavy lifting. Home practice is for reinforcement, not survival.

Yes — Singing Club is designed for kids just like that. There’s no pressure to sing alone or “perform” individually. Everything is ensemble-based, so students sing together as a group and are gently supported at their own comfort level. Many shy singers thrive here because they feel safe, included, and part of something bigger without being singled out.

Yes — but in a relaxed, low-pressure way. Performances are casual and optional, and may happen in the studio or out in the community as a way to share the joy of music. Students never sing solos unless they choose to. The focus is always on ensemble singing, listening, and making music together rather than individual spotlight moments.

Two formal recitals a year (winter is festive, spring is dressier) at Velocity Church, a few miles from the studio. Plus regular in-class showcases. Performance is part of how we teach. Not a stressful capstone.

No formal home practice is required for Singing Club. The focus is on what we do together in class, where all of the learning and musical growth happens in a fun, social setting. That said, we absolutely encourage kids to sing throughout the week if they want to.

Enrollment includes everything your child needs to feel part of the group from day one: a Singing Club bag, a song binder that grows throughout the year, and an expanding collection of repertoire they’ll learn together. Students also receive a Singing Club t-shirt to wear during special events and casual performances.

School band is fantastic when it’s available, but it usually starts in middle school and only covers band instruments. We start as young as zero, cover piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, and ensemble work. Our teachers specialize in young learners.

We offer unlimited make-ups because we understand that life happens. With at least 6 hours’ notice, you’ll automatically receive a make-up credit that can be used to attend another class at a time that works for you.

Singing Club includes a 4-month commitment. This gives the group time to build friendships, confidence, and musical skills together in a consistent, supportive environment where students can truly grow as an ensemble.
